Description

The perfect Chili Sauce for a Chili Hot Dog, it's great over Fries and for a great chili Sloppy Joe.

Ingredients

Olive oil for frying 1 pound ground beef (85-15) 2-4 cups water (enough to cover the ground beef) ½ cup katchup ½ cup finely chopped onion ½ teaspoon Kosher salt ½ teaspoon black pepper 2 teaspoons onion powder 2 teaspoons garlic powder 2 teaspoons Papryka 2 tablespoons chili powder 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce 1 tablespoon sugar 2 tablespoons tomato paste

Instructions

Over medium heat using a heavy bottomed saucepan add ground beef and cover with water, break the beef into fine pieces while the water comes to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and add all the rest of the ingredients (Except the tomato paste). Simmer (Small bubbles coming to the surface) until liquid has reduced by about ¼. Then add tomato paste and continue to simmer till desired consistency.

Serves

If making Chili Hot Dogs this recipe should yield enough for 12-16 hot dogs.
