Description

These cheesy hashbrowns are a quick, easy and delicious side dish for beef, chicken or pork, are a perfect addition to any buffet and of course make breakfast the best meal of the day.

Ingredients

4 cups shredded potatoes (hash browns), thawed if using frozen 1 cup sour cream 1 10.5 oz can condensed cream of chicken soup 4 tablespoons butter, melted 2 cups of your favorite shredded cheese, divided ½ cup chopped onion 1 rounded tablespoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon black pepper ¼ to ½ teaspoon Accent or Kosher salt

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 F. Butter the sides and bottom of a 9x13 baking dish. In a large bowl add the potatoes, 1 cup of the cheese, cream of chicken soup, melted butter, sour cream, chopped onion, garlic powder, black pepper, Accent/salt and mix till all the potatoes are well coated. Spread evenly in the prepared baking dish (being careful to not pack). Sprinkle the remaining cup of cheese evenly over the top and bake till bubbly and top is golden brown, about 50-55 minutes.
