Description

This is a go-to Party Dip/Appetizer in our house. Cheddar Cheese, Monterey Jack Cheese Cream Cheese and Bacon all melted to a cheesy masterpiece, what more could you want

Ingredients

½ cup mayonnaise One 8 oz package cream cheese, softened 1 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese, grated ½ cup Monterey Jack Cheese, grated 2 green onions, finely chopped Dash of cayenne pepper of your favorite season mix 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled (I use Hormel Real Bacon Pieces, half of a 2.8 oz jar) 8 butter crackers, crushed Serve with Corn Chips

Instructions

Add Softened butter, Old English Cheese Spread, mayo seasoned salt and garlic powder and mix till well combined, then gently fold in the crab and set aside. Break each muffin in half and spread the cheese mix (About a 1 ½ tablespoons) evenly over both halves of the muffins. Cut each half of the muffin into fourths, place all the muffin pieces on a sheet pan and Broil 4-6 minutes or until the edges are crips and tops are slightly browned. Or if you prefer a crisper bottom, place in a preheated 350 degree oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the tops are slightly brown. See below how to make ahead and freeze.

Serves

If used as an Horderves consider 1½ muffin, cut into fourths per guest.

Additional Comments

To make ahead and freeze following the recipe, place muffin halves on a sheet pan and place in the freezer for 1-2 hours. Once frozen, cut each muffin in half into fourths, place muffin pieces into an appropriate sized freezer bag and return to the freezer. When ready to use, place the pieces on a sheet pan (Cheese side up) to thaw on the sheet pan for 10 if possible, then Broil or Bake as stated in the recipe.
